The "Casitas" of Ybor

In recent times, the city of Tampa has undertaken to beautify the old run-down homes of the Ybor residential areas, hoping to attract more residents into the area and boost the local economy.  Many old run down homes along Interstate 4 through Ybor City were removed due to the widening project, and relocated around Ybor City.  They were then renovated for resale.  These two homes are across the street from Centennial Park Plaza, to the east.  The one on the right has since been purchased and is operating as a tea room/antique gift shop.

Each rehabilitated house is fit with a marker that states where the house was moved from before it was restored.
