You can see family patriarch Ildebrando on line 16 as head of house, with his wife Maddalena.  They're 71 and 68 both born in Italy.  He is retired.  Under them are sons Teobaldo 27 born in Italy and Hugo 41 born in Peru, S.A., out of order for ages.    Teobaldo's marriage status shows both Single and Married. Married may be the correction but no wife is listed. (More about this below.)

Under Hugo is his wife Elsie born in Germany, so listed as daughter-in-law to the head of house. Under Elsie is Ildebrando's son "Matio" which would be Mario, born in Italy.  Age is tough to read, but according to his obits, was born around 1912 so the age in 1940 would be 29.  Under Mario is his wife, looks like Lidia. born in Florida, listed as dau-in-law to head of house.

Under Lidia is another son of Ildebrando; Bruno, age 39, divorced, but then "S" added, possibly as a correction, born in Argentina, S.A..  Under him looks like Brunilde, age 10, originally listed as granddaughter, marked out and changed to neice. Maybe a relation to Elsie, since she was born in Germany.  Brunilde's original designation as a granddaughter might indicate she was first listed as a daughter of Hugo and Elsie.

Under Brunhilde is a caretaker, Carmela, born in Malta.
All those people are listed as being in ONE household.

In the next household, on line 26, is another son of Ildebrando;  Edmondo Zacchini, born in Italy, first digit of age is impossible to read, ends in a 6.  According to obits. he died in 1981 at age 87 so he would have been around 46 in 1940.  Interesting to note that the obits I found for 3 of the Zacchini family members all show each died at age 87.  Edmondo, Mario, and Edmondo's daughter Duina.

Under Edmondo is his wife, Josephina.  (Guiseppina).

Under Josephina are the four children of Edmondo and Josephina (to date, Rene, the youngest, wasn't born yet).  Daughter Egle (aka Victoria) age 19, born Tunis, with something written under it that seems to start with an S.  All articles that mention her birthplace say she was born there (Tunisia) while her parents were on tour performing there.  Under Tunis is a word that starts with an "S" that I can't make out.  Under Egle is son Egizio 17, which I found in articles about the Zacchinis means "Egypt" in Italian, which is where he was born.  The census record shows, "Alexandria, Egypt."  Under Egizio is a daughter whose name is difficult to figure out, looks like "Ardinnia."  This must be Duina and either her name is greatly misspelled, or her name was something like "Arduina" and she was publicly known as Duina.  She's 16, born in Cairo, Egypt.  Under Duina is Edmondo's and Josephina's son Hugo, age 12 born in Paris, France.

Under Hugo, in the same household, are 3 family members with last name "Kohren"--Amelia, Vernon and William, listed in relationship to Edmondo as sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and nephew.  These are likely to be Josephina's sister Amelia, Amelia's husband Vernon, and their son William.  Under William is an unrelated caretaker.

In the next household, on line 36 on Parkland Blvd, is Vittorio Mangiavacchi and his wife Olga, ages 36 & 33.  I'm sure this is an error and should be Ildebrando's son, Vittorio Zacchini.  Maybe his wife gave the info, giving her maiden name, and the enumerator thought it was Vittorio's surname.

Evidence that the above is Vittorio Zacchini is found in the person listed under Olga; "Manuel Zacchini, brother" age 32, in the same household.  This would be another son of Ildenbrando; Emanuel Zacchini.  Under Manuel are two children listed as nieces to Vittorio, so likely they are Emanuel's children, Flora and "baby" ages 5 and 2.

And so ends this page.  On the next page is listed in the same household of the previous page, Katerina Zacchini, sister-in-law (to Vittorio) so she would be Emanuel's wife.

Interestingly, Emanuel and Teobaldo Zacchini were also enumerated in the same census in South Carolina, in Cherokee County, Limestone township, , in the Institution "Zacchini Brothers show trailer camp."

Clearly the same two brothers listed in Tampa.  First is Emanuel 31, born Peru, wife Kathrine 25, born Berlin, Germany, daughter Florenda 5, born Florida, daughter Delia, 1, born New Jersey.

Several households down, but on the same page, is Teobaldo Zacchini, age 26, and his wife Dorothy, age 21, born Missouri.

Both families show they were living in Tampa in 1935.  (An odd question asked in the 1940 census--where they lived on April 1, 1935)
